Năm 2013, ngày Quốc tế Hạnh phúc (20/3) là ngày lễ được Liên Hiệp Quốc chọn để tôn vinh niềm hạnh phúc của nhân loại, khuyến khích nhân loại hành động tích cực và nỗ lực hơn để xây dựng thế giới đại đồng, đem lại hạnh phúc cho mọi người.
Việt Nam lần đầu tiên tổ chức ngày Quốc tế Hạnh phúc vào năm 2014 với chủ đề “Yêu thương và chia sẻ” nhằm truyền tải thông điệp nói trên đến mọi cá nhân, gia đình và tổ chức, góp phần phát triển an sinh xã hội, thực hiện mục tiêu xây dựng gia đình no ấm, tiến bộ, hạnh phúc.
Trong cuộc sống, hạnh phúc luôn là mục tiêu hướng đến của bất kỳ ai. Ngày 20/3 là ngày Quốc tế Hạnh phúc, song mỗi người hoàn toàn có thể tự làm cho cuộc sống của mình và gia đình trở thành 365 ngày hạnh phúc! Hạnh phúc cũng là chủ đề trọng tâm trong triết lý Phật giáo. Hạnh phúc là những ai biết quay về với đời sống tâm linh cao cả, đó là phần tinh ba cao quý nhất của con người, biết sống tỉnh thức quay về với chính mình và hiện tại. Nếu ta rời khỏi mình để tìm cầu ở ngoài sẽ dễ lạc vào tà kiến mà quên đi cái tinh túy quý giá nhất, cái sáng suốt vốn có chính là “Phật tánh”. Từ trong bóng đêm vô minh trải qua hàng vạn kiếp, tâm hồn trôi dạt trong biển đời mênh mông, như con tàu lênh đênh bị sóng gió dập dồi ngoài biển khơi không bến bờ nương tựa. Đó chính là biển ái dục và bão tố vô minh, vùi dập ta trong vòng xoáy sinh tử vô thường.
Khi nương tựa vào Phật Pháp một cách tỉnh thức, mỗi người sẽ có trong tay ngọn đuốc sáng, tự mình thắp lửa và vững bước chủ động trên con đường đi tìm chân giá trị của hạnh phúc. Đức Phật đã dạy: “Giải thoát an lạc, giác ngộ và tịnh độ đều ở ngay trong tâm của chúng ta” hay là “ta đến đây không phải cứu độ các ngươi, Ta đến đây cốt là để chỉ đường đi sáng suốt cho các ngươi. Các ngươi hãy noi theo đó mà tiến hóa giác ngộ để tự độ lấy mình”. Đức Phật đã soi rọi cho mỗi người nhìn vào tự tánh: “Ngươi là ngọn đuốc và là nơi nương náu cho chính ngươi. Ngươi đừng tự phó thác vào chốn dung thân nào khác”. Như vậy, bậc Giác ngộ quan niệm hạnh phúc thế gian là tương đối, chỉ là phương tiện để cho con người tiếp tục nỗ lực tu tập nhằm đạt đến chân lý hạnh phúc Niết bàn tuyệt đối. Đức Phật dạy trong Kinh Pháp Cú 276: “Các ngươi hãy nỗ lực lên. Như Lai chỉ dạy cho con đường giác ngộ, chứ không giác ngộ thế cho ai được. Sự trói buộc của ma vương sẽ tùy sức thiền định của ngươi mà được cởi mở”.
Hạnh phúc theo Đạo Phật rất đơn giản, bất cứ ai cũng có thể đạt được, miễn sao đi đúng con đường chánh pháp mà Ngài đã vạch ra. Trong kinh, Đức Phật từng dạy về sự chấm dứt khổ đau: “Này các Tỳ kheo, trong tất cả pháp, dù là pháp hữu vi hay vô vi, pháp giải thoát ly tham là cao cả nhất. Ấy nghĩa là giải thoát khỏi kiêu mạn, diệt trừ tham, nhổ tận gốc sự chấp thủ, cắt đứt sự tiếp tục, dập tắt khát ái, giải thoát, chấm dứt, Niết-bàn” [1].
Thật vậy! Ai cũng mong muốn hạnh phúc nhưng không phải ai cũng biết cách thực hiện. Đó chính là lý do Đức Phật xuất hiện để chỉ bày nhân loại con đường đưa đến hạnh phúc bền lâu. Kinh Tăng Chi bộ xác nhận Như Lai ra đời vì hạnh phúc cho đa số, vì an lạc cho đa số, vì lòng thương tưởng cho đời, vì hạnh phúc, an lạc cho chư Thiên và loài Người. Để có cuộc sống hạnh phúc, người con Phật không những thấm nhuần chân lý Đức Phật mà còn phải biết thực hành yêu thương, chia sẻ để gieo mầm hạnh phúc trong đời hiện tại.
Phật dạy rằng: “Tình yêu thương là cội nguồn của hạnh phúc”. Bởi vì hận thù không thể hóa giải bởi hận thù, mà hãy dùng tình yêu và lòng bao dung hóa giải mọi hận thù, đây là chân lý muôn đời. Triết lý nhà Phật vẫn là: “Nhẫn một chút sóng yên gió lặng, lùi một bước biển rộng trời cao”. Ở đây, “lùi một bước” không phải vì yếu hèn, sợ hãi mà là cảnh giới của trí tuệ và sự tỉnh thức làm chủ chính mình. Và đó là một triết lí của hạnh phúc. Hãy suy nghĩ lạc quan, tích cực hơn, bạn sẽ thấy cuộc đời mình thay đổi. Hãy học cách chấp nhận để thấy cuộc đời vẫn luôn tươi đẹp và đáng sống!
Theo Đạo Phật, căn nguyên của mọi nỗi khổ đau trên đời là do ham muốn của con người. Tâm sinh ham muốn quá nhiều mà không đạt được, thế là khổ đau. Bản thể chúng ta được hình thành từ suy nghĩ. Gieo suy nghĩ gặt tính cách, gieo tính cách gặt số phận. Bằng suy nghĩ, con người có thể kiến tạo ra thế giới theo cách của riêng mình [2].
Đức Phật cũng từng dạy rằng: “Ta ra đời vì lòng thương tưởng với đời và vì hạnh phúc của chư Thiên và loài người”. Nhưng cũng chính Ngài tuyên bố: “Cũng như nước biển chỉ có một vị là mặn, đạo của Như Lai cũng có một vị là giải thoát”. Đây chính là nền tảng để mỗi cá nhân tự giải thoát khổ đau cho chính mình và mỗi cộng đồng xã hội xây dựng đời sống hạnh phúc, bình đẳng, dân chủ và tự do trong mọi thiết chế [3].
Thượng tọa Thích Phước Đạt khẳng định rằng: “Từ điểm nhìn này, dưới ánh sáng của Đạo Phật, tất cả mọi dân tộc cũng như mọi người đều bình đẳng về Hạnh phúc, về Tự do trong đời sống hiện hữu này. Bản Kinh Diệu Pháp Liên Hoa là sự minh chứng cho lý tưởng giải thoát bình đẳng trong hiện thực hoá cuộc đời. Hình ảnh Hoa Sen dẫu ở trong bùn, vươn lên từ trong bùn lầy vẫn nở hoa tươi đẹp vô cùng. Nó minh chứng cho sự hợp nhất, sự quy hướng về Phật thừa duy nhất. Cũng vậy, mọi người, mọi thành phần xuất thân khác nhau trong xã hội cũng có thể sống trong nhà Phật, ăn cơm Phật, mặc áo Phật, làm việc Phật với cái tâm Phật thì sẽ có cuộc sống an lạc, hạnh phúc cho bản thân và cộng đồng. Đó chính là Diệu Pháp Liên Hoa mà Đạo Phật cung cấp cho chúng ta qua mọi thời đại”. Thông điệp của Thượng tọa Thích Phước Đạt đã nhắn nhủ những lời đặc biệt dành cho mọi người, đặc biệt là lớp trẻ về tinh thần chủ động tích cực và ý thức tự thân vận động để tự hoàn thiện nhân cách sống với lẽ sống đẹp, lối sống lành mạnh, tử tế, lòng nhân ái bao dung, biết nỗ lực vươn đến sự bình đẳng, hạnh phúc để hòa hợp và hội nhập.
Hạnh phúc chính là hiện tại, không phải quá khứ hay tương lai.
Người con Phật hãy làm theo những lời Phật dạy về hạnh phúc, luôn bình thản giữ gìn cho “Thân khỏe – Tâm an – Trí sáng” và an vui đón nhận cuộc sống. Biết trân trọng những điều đang có, chỉ có tâm an, trí sáng và thân thể an lành thì cuộc sống mới thật sự hạnh phúc. Hạnh phúc lớn nhất của người con Phật là không chỉ thấm nhuần lời dạy Đức Phật mà còn phải biết thực hành hiểu để thương, hòa nhập để yêu thương và chia sẻ và gieo mầm hạnh phúc trong đời hiện tại. Chỉ có “hiểu” mới có “thương” và ươm mầm hạnh phúc khi ta biết cho đi.
Trong Đạo Phật, hạnh nguyện từ bi gắn liền với việc ươm mầm trí tuệ. Không thấu hiểu thì không thể sẻ chia, không thể cảm thông và thương yêu sâu sắc. Sự thấu hiểu chính là nền tảng bền vững của tình thương yêu và khát vọng hạnh phúc… [4]. Như vậy, hạnh phúc là gì? Hạnh phúc có từ đâu? Làm sao để có cuộc sống hạnh phúc thật sự? Câu hỏi và lời giải là của tự riêng mình, dành riêng cho những ai vẫn luôn mong mỏi và mưu cầu được “Sống hạnh phúc theo lời Phật dạy”!
